On the date indicated below, your child will be able to participate in the Community Education After School Skating Program. This program is one of the oldest and most popular programs in the Community Education program.
Please Note: The cost of the activity is $3.00. This fee covers supervised school bus transportation to the Rink and back to the school, admission to skating and basic skate rental. If your child would like to rent roller-blades there is a discounted rental charge of $1.00 for Community Education Skaters (subject to availability). Precision skate rental is .50 cents. Lockers are available for only .25 cents per locker. Parents are encouraged to visit the Rink and may skate free of charge on this day.
Because of Child Safety Concerns, the following safety procedures have been put in place:
1. Students who ride the bus to the Rink are requested to ride it back to school. BUT, IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO PICK UP YOUR CHILD AT THE RINK, PLEASE BE THERE NO LATER THAN 20 MINUTES BEFORE THE "RETURN TO SCHOOL TIME". CHILDREN WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO WALK HOME, NOR WILL THEY BE ALLOWED TO STAY AT THE RINK TO WAIT FOR A RIDE. We can no longer accept a note to allow a child to remain at the rink.
2. If you take or pick up your child at the Rink, please come inside. Do not drop him/her off at the curb. Students who do not ride the bus to the Rink will not be allowed to enter the rink until all bus-riding children have entered unless you come inside with the child. If you pick up your child, please sign out with the Deleta Supervisor before removing the child.
